Our Story

Strikers Netball has a long history of creating opportunities for regional netballers to play at a higher level. Our original Strikers team were one of the pioneers, paving the way for regional players to be exposed to a stronger level of netball. It provided an option for regional netballers to be showcased to selectors for consideration for high-performance netball.

Beginning around 1998, Strikers played netball predominantly at Royal Park in Parkville Melbourne.

Strikers had great success, as finalists and premiers in both Division 1 and Division 2 sections over the years.

Composed of well-known local identities, Caitlyn Thwaites, Rebecca Bulley and Carol Cathcart, as well as local regional athletes that went on to play within the Netball Victoria pathway, some at the highest level. Embracing the history and adopting the culture of those who have led the way with pride and passion, Bendigo Strikers has the ability to reunite past players and continue a strong regional presence in the Netball Victoria Pathway.

Our vision to engage past Strikers players and coaches creates an opportunity to embrace our history, celebrate the success of the past and re-invigorate a purpose for past players and those involved with Strikers to join as social club members, to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate their successes and re-engage the netball community.
